It is quite a challenge to the Church to distinguish between literal and metaphorical or allegorical truth in the Bible. For example the following is qouted from St. John the evangelist's gospel prologue in the book:

 

                                          All that came to be had life in him. (John 1:4, Jerusalem Bible).

                                          in ipso vita erat (John 1:4, New American Bible, latin).

 

Our Lady says in the book that this can be interpreted literally and this is also a scientific matter.

 

The fundamental particles of matter, far smaller than the electron or photon are actually living.

 

Another statement of Our Lady in the book confirms the actual existance of Adam and Eve regardless of evolutionary theory. This may seem very surprising.

 

Contrast this with the earlier statement ( Human Matters ) that hell does not go on forever.

 

There are many opportunities for theological advancement in the book.
