Ecumenism.
It is noted by Our Lady in the book that She is only St. Mary to the Protestants. However she has advised us to pursue
ecumenism however long it takes.
Note also the controversial issues listed in the Human Matters section. Some of these could
be a source of renewed discussion ecumenically. There have been many difficult issues to discuss and progress is being made.
Also
it is important to note the sexual scandals that have plagued the broader Christian hierarchy in recent years.
The Pope has
recently asked us to pray that the Church can rid itself of sexual scandals.
Perhaps we should all pray for this in an ecumenical
spirit.
We can also consider a broader ecumenism with some other religions. Hinduism is referred to a number of times in the
book. The existance of deities and gods and the like have been affirmed. This could lead to renewed discussion with Hindus.
Our
Lady has even stated that, depending on perception, she is the Mother deity, Mother god etc. of Hinduism.
A similar situation
exists in Buddhism.
As far as living on Earth is concerned we go to the same realm when we die. It can be assumed that all these
deities and gods etc. are Christian.
But it is quite an obscure matter.
